Wait on the Lord – Poem & Study

Gone is the life we once had, whatever it was..big or small.

The way of Christ is slow, often lonely, as we are learning to bear our own burden.
We have the saints, the body of Christ, but our faith must be our own.

Patience is absolutely essential to us being made like Christ.

(Luk 21:19 NKJV) By your patience possess (G2932) your souls.

The word for “souls” above is better translated as “life”. We all start off with an old life that is the life of our old man. This old man is crucified with Christ, which paves the way for Christ to dwell within us.

(Rom 6:6 NKJV) knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

(Rom 6:7 NKJV) For he who has died has been freed from sin.

(Rom 6:8 NKJV) Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,

(Mat 10:39 NKJV) He who finds his life (G5590) will lose it, and he who loses his life (G5590) for My sake will find it.
