Thanks Mitch…question : “beam in own eye” verses ‘speck” in brothers eye? Could it be more than just “considering our own sin ” before we can help a brother with his sin ? How can we be the “beam” and they always be the “speck” ? what if their “speck” is a much greater sin ? how do we hav e the “beam” then ? Do you think that there maybe a way we are ALWAYS the “beam” no matter what the “speck” of the other is ? First,If we dont SEE ourselves as “chief of sinners” and every sin of our brothers is in our flesh (that their struggle could easily be ours if not for the grace of God) … If we dont SEE that then we will always have the “beam” of self-righteousness and can never help a brother with the even most insignificant sin (“speck”)… The battle is God’s not ours…

Thanks again for all you so Mitch

    That is exactly correct!

*Php 2:3** (NKJV)* *Let* nothing *be done* through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
