I’d like to discuss is how the scriptures and Jesus himself handled political situations in his day. As disciples, this should be the example we follow.

Here is what Christ said to Pilate when he was being questioned.

(Joh 18:36 NKJV) Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

Mitch. You mentioned in the study that drugs can keep us alive. Don’t you mean God keeps one alive through His Spirit and not some worthless physical drug? It’s not the drug… but Gods will. Is not disease sent by God through evil spirits? Our book was written before time began. We will all die at His appointed time. Drugs are an delusion. No?

    Thanks…Mark

    HI Mark,

When I made the comments that “drugs can be used to keep us alive”, I have the full understanding that God works all things after the counsel of his own will (Eph 1:11). I have plenty of criticism regarding pharmaceutical drugs, but they can be used of God at times for our benefit. Say for example you must have surgery, the drugs you are given do a good job of putting you to sleep. It was God that created the drug through men and it was God that caused the doctors to use it.

Yes our book was written before time began and God does all things. We still have to acknowledge the physical things in this world that God uses. For example, I drove my car t work. How did I get to work? Well, God got me there by using a car. Same thing for some drugs in certain circumstances. Pharmaceuticals are abused and vastly over prescribed, yet it is also not good to blanketly condemn them 100%.

    Hi Mitch. You said…

“Say for example you must have surgery, the drugs you are given do a good job of putting you to sleep. It was God that created the drug through men and it was God that caused the doctors to use it.”

I guess my comment has to do with the idea that….. is it the ‘drugs’ or ‘chemicals’ that flow within a human beings system that is working its effects within that person to give an desired effect… or is it really Gods work through spirits that ultimately give the desired effect on how the drug reacts within our minds and body’s? [of course, for good or bad].

I cant help thinking that if all disease is sent to mankind from God… that also would not the understanding that all remedy’s are also sent from God…in a Spiritual way and condition. I understand physical is where we are at in this life… but does not the spiritual realm affect everything in the physical? Including the chemical reactions in the human being? Is not a strong delusion sent to man used by God to have men ‘believe’ that who and what we are, are of mans doings and not Gods? All is of God,including mans idea that we ourselves do all that is without…to the point of thinking that drugs ‘work’ because they do the things for which they were designed,in mans mind of course..I hope I am making some sense.

Free will is the strong delusion. It is all of God. Without him we can do nothing. People are under strong delusion when they think they thought up these ideas and that they are making them happen.
