Hi G____,

I wanted to share a thought about Eph 4:26

(Eph 4:26 KJV) Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

We need to remember this:

(Joh 6:63 KJV) It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

I have made the error of going to my brother in haste before taking the time to properly consider the plank in my own eye.

(Isa 28:16 KJV) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.

(Mat 7:4 NKJV) Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye?
(Mat 7:5 NKJV) Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Sometimes an offense causes great wrath in my heavens and it takes some time to discern the log in my eye and possibly get some wise counsel before proceeding. It’s also about counting the cost and making sure I have a sufficiently calm spirit to say what I need to in love that I may be heard.

That being said, there does need to be urgency to sort out the matter in our heavens quickly and go to our brother. It may just not be before the sun literally sets that day, but it must be before the sun of Christ sets and we develop a root of bitterness.

(Mat 5:23 NKJV) Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you,
(Mat 5:24 NKJV) leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
(Mat 5:25 NKJV) Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

There are certain thoughts in our heavens that need not be shared with others. We have to carefully discern what is profitable to speak and what is just a temptation to complain and ‘vent’ our anger.

(Eph 4:29 KJV) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

(Pro 29:11 KJV) A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

I can see how thinking that we MUST go to our brother before sleeping that day could be quite destructive in some cases. It is indeed a narrow way to discern.

(Ecc 3:1 KJV) To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

I wanted to say this to you directly, and then hopefully we can explain in due time to the Church that no one may be under bondage of the letter.

(2Co 3:6 KJV) Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Your Brother in Christ,
Mitch
