The focus of the paper “Gifts, ministries and operations in the body of Christ” (http://www.iswasandwillbe.com/Gifts_ministries.php) is found in 1Cor 12:
1Co 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1Co 12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1Co 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
1Co 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
Nine “diversities of gifts” are distinguished:
1Co 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
We know that faith is indeed an underserved gift of the spirit of God:
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
It is the faith of Jesus that each one receives because nothing is of ourselves:
Gal 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Faith is a spiritual gift coming from hearing the Word of God:
There is also a measure of faith for each individual and that should not be measured ‘among you’ (comparisons and competition are spiritually fruitless exercises):
Rom 12:3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Sober thinking is to have respect for the measure of faith others received:
2Co 1:24 (YLT) not that we are lords over your faith, but we are workers together with your joy, for by the faith ye stand.
