To know meaning of false prophet it’s best to revisit meaning of prophecy itself:

1 Corinthians 14:3-4 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

So edifying, building up the spirit, “speaking” in words easy to understand..,

1 Corinthians 14:9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

…to EDIFY the church, knowing what you are speaking of / talking about…

1 Corinthians 14:9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

You should speak words any one in the body of Christ with mind of Christ can understand and relate to, regardless of geography or cultural differences etc..not just speaking own words to edify or own thoughts or ideas, but to SPEAK NOT ABOVE WHAT IS WRITTEN.

1 Corinthians 4:6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

So in speaking prophesy, one is speaking what is already in scripture, not vain jangling!

1 Timothy 1:6-7 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

That is a great definition of false prophets! We have all talked a lot of harsh things, wrong erroneous words about Christ and the Father…and that’s how this phase of false prophesying is fulfilled in us all first.

1. to produce a harsh, discordant sound, astwo comparatively small, thin, or hollowpieces of metal hitting together: The charmson her bracelet jangle as she moves.
2. to speak angrily; wrangle.
( think when we preaching “eternal hell fire” or trying to force people to ‘believe’ us)
– verb (used with object)
3. to cause to make a harsh, discordant, usually metallic sound: He jangled the potsand pans.
4. to cause to become irritated or upset: Theloud noise of the motors jangled his nerves.
– noun
5. a harsh or discordant sound.
6. an argument, dispute, or quarrel.

The false prophet is the beast, however an untamed beast, wild animal yet to be as a domesticated beast around the throne of God. Christ himself is the king of the beast, LION OF JUDAH, LAMB, OX etc that is subjected to His Master, the Father. Both false prophet, the beast and false teacher are usually used interchangeably in scripture. So there is no distinction in the mind of Christ. The “beast” is dark sayings for man as animals, (Eccl 3:18) whether tamed or untamed.
When we are ignorant to God’s word, speaking OUR OWN ideals, natural thoughts and logics, looking honourable before carnal men, BUT “understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.”….we are as ignorant foolish beast at that time.

Psalms 49:20 Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.

Psalms 73:22 So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.

Listen to how Peter equates the beast that led us in Babylon and us at that time:

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2 Peter 2:12 But these, […”false prophets..,false teachers”] as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, [=All men’s body of sin will eventually be destroyed, so are ALL as natural brute beasts”] speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

What do they speak then if these false teachers/prophets/natural brute beasts has NO UNDERSTANDING? it is..

2 Peter 2:18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.

Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not:but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

So we see how heavily connected speaking vanity, things we don’t understand is to being false teachers/prophets/beasts in us.
None of us came into Christ having any spiritual understanding. So our religious / natural ways and continuing in that with no repentance, no change and many confused Babylonish ways is how we are first all those negative things!

Paul fought with beasts at Ephesus! Which is just another way of saying the fight of faith against the many false prophets desiring to teach etc.

1 Corinthians 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

Babylon is the abode, “the world” of all these beasts & false prophets. As we come out of it, these ways decreases in us as Christ increases and we speak/do His word.

Isaiah 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the Lord, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:
Isaiah 58:14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

Much more can be said about these but I hope this helps.
