A poem about sowing the the spirit and reaping the benefits.
by Mitch Kuhn
Sow to the Spirit
The days have been long
With deep sorrow in your song
Your life is being lost
Daily you have counted the cost
Where else do you have to go
To the spirit you now do sow
As the Lord drives out what leavens
Great riches are stored within your heavens
You cup now over flows
As the Lord so richly bestows
You were given ears to hear the call
And you have watched many giants fall
Your knees are strong, your walk is strait
As you march though that narrow gate
In the temple you have become a pillar
A lamb feeding, spirit filled, Philistine giant killer
Stop for a moment and look around
Rejoice in the victory and joy you have found
Faithful family on every side
In chariots of fire we all do ride
Today the battle has been won
But if you want to reign with the son
To the end you must endure
For your calling and election to be sure
I was inspired by these verses:
Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Gal 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Gal 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Heb 12:12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
Heb 12:13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
2Pe 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
